On Daisybank

I feel too much of a zombie today to be very adventurous. I went a hundred yards up the lane to Daisybank, the steep children's play area, which the Town Council is responsible for. We councillors have been asked by our Parks manager to check on vandalism to these benches and to the seats of the swings.

Some unknown animal, possibly a hunting dog (hopefully at least on a leash), has been biting the swing seats to destruction. Massive gouges cutting right through the solid plastic. We have replaced three already this summer. It seems so strange that someone would take their dog, obviously at night time, to purposefully destroy the playground.

I don't think the dog would be quite so effective with this seat. But we've already had to bolt it to a new concrete base, to prevent it walking.
