Sheila Matilda's Day

Stinking Iris

Not a very nice name for a flower. The name comes from the unpleasant odour that comes from its leaves when they are crushed. It is a native species to Britain and has quite dull looking grey/blue flowers. It certainly makes up for this by the bright colour of the seed pods when they open.
