Another Barrio Passage

It's been a big day for Barcelona today with Pope Benedicto XVI blessing the famous Gaudi Sagrada Familia. I seriously thought about going to the area with my camera, but decided against it as had imagined the security would be so high that I wouldn't get anywhere near. However, having watched it live on Catalan TV made me wish I'd gone. In our barrio (which isn't really that far from the Sagrada Familia area it was a typical, quiet Sunday afternoon, with the only difference being the untypical sound of helictopers overhead. This shot is another little passage way just a stone's throw away from us and this one isn't going to be demolished, like the ones both Bb and I have blipped previously. The pic's taken from the bottom of the passage and you'll see that the left side is all little houses, well maintained and no doubt now protected because of the architecture. In the summertime, the scent of jasmine is amazing in this passage! On the right side, a few slightly taller flats have somehow managed to sneak in. No doubt before the planning was as strictly controlled as it is now. Apologies to fellow blippers out there who thought a Pope shot would be put on for today!
