Cocoon

One of the most valuable lessons I have learned as a result of having my camera with me all the time is to look underneath as well as up.

This beech will drop all its leaves soon. The top of my head does not quite reach the first branch, which makes it the perfect tree for me to hug. My children have played many games under this tree. We've hidden chocolate Easter eggs and treasure hunt clues in it countless times. We love it and it loves us back.

If you look closer you might see the fairies.

Cocoon

by Moyra Caldecott

I lie
curled
in the green cocoon
of my garden
spun of sunlight
and leaves...
ready
to be born.

Say hello to my friend levis517 who's just joined Blip.
