Hadeda - the flying squad

I think that they must have a built-in clock - as on the dot, same time, every morning, they fly overhead, announcing themselves in no uncertain terms!
As it gets light, every morning earlier, they adjust to the new time-table - but make no mistake - they are not timid nor shy!

Welcomed on the lawns where they breakfast and lunch on worms and insects, unfortunately they also pose an irresistible target for the greyhounds ... fortunately, they have short memories.

Come tomorrow, they will be back and much to the dog's delight, they will be apprehended and chased away ... who is fooling who?

Such is life.
