Grandads Resting Place

My Grandad a few years before he past away on the 28/10/2002 requested that his ashes be scattered here... The Hole of Horcum in North Yorkshire and what a view!

In his own way he was also making this day a very easy and enjoyable day as we bring Nan up here every year and is such a beautiful day what ever the weather. We start off by stopping at Fimber for a coffee (if its open) and then move on to The Hole spend a few minutes of quiet time, admiring the view and having our own thoughts and then its down into Thornton Le Dale for lunch and a wander before heading home.

We love it and I know one special man would too!

I miss him a great deal, he was a true Yorkshire gent and the best Grandad you could possibly have!

Miss you lots and I do wonder what you would make of Laddie... i'm sure you would be as entertained by him as Nan is and I bet your having a right old giggle up there!
