Tyne Tour Home Time!!!
The boys had opted to paddle only one day of the two... So today we went for a short wander up along Hadrians Wall then into a local village to have a look at the water level in the South Tyne.
This photo was taken of a bridge over the South Tyne and arches its made up of.
After our walk around the village and by the river we had a spot of lunch before getting in the car to head the 3 hour journey to Hull to drop SM off.
We stopped on the way at The Angel of the North as SM & I had never been. We managed to drop SM off at home late afternoon, dropped in on my Mum for a cuppa before making the next 2.5 hour journey back home! A lot of time in the car shared driving between me and R.
A fantastic day had with stunning scenery and good company... in fact the whole weekend has been fantastic!
We got home around 7.30pm very tired but very happy. This weekend was all about R and giving him a birthday weekend that was special after last year being on his own in Ghana. R is just brimming from ear to ear after an excellent weekend! I think I can safely say my mission was accomplished!
