Fings wot I see

Inver-Queer-Thing..

Inverkeithing at first glance is a fairly awful, ex industrial, backwater little town and where I spent half of my childhood. It is also home to a few of Scotland's best preserved historical landmarks.
Hidden amongst the council houses, chip shops and grim looking pubs are some real gems. There is the best preserved example of a Mercat Cross, the A listed, again best preserved example, of a friary and a few other less obvious ones.

This is the Church tower which dates back to the 14th Century, Rumor has it the bauble in the weathervane contains the skull of the last witch burned in Scotland...Gruesome!
