Last of the Summer Nectar
Hubby and I waited and waited and waited for this Pineapple sage to bloom. It grew bigger and bigger and it was so big in the planter that the wind blew it over twice. We knew it bloomed late as we planted it last year, but we'd forgotten how late it would finally pop out red blooms rich with nectar. Finally our few Anna Hummingbirds that stick around all winter got their treat. November! They are happy and so are we.
