Our lovely Chirita
Our Chirita tamiana is flowering again. We love it to bits, hope you will enjoy it too! It's a relative of the more widely known Saintpaulias, or African violets.
The genus name, Chirita, apparently is derived from the Nepali word chirayit
which is the name for the dried parts of another plant, Gentiana chirita, which were used to brew a strengthening infusion.
