My daily commute

We remember......

I went to the local Remembrance Day caremony today and the Silver Cross Mother was a local woman who lost her son just 2 years ago. She is currently serving in the Canadian military and it brought tears to my eyes as she spoke about her son.

I took this shot later in the day when Mom and I were at the graveyard doing a little research for a cousin working on our section of his family tree. This is the grave of Charlie Piper and as you can see, someone who "remembered" him today placed this cross on his grave. Although you can't see it, there is also a Canadian flag placed by the local school children. All in all, it was a very moving day.
