Grave Yard Scremerston

This is the grave stone shot through a grave stone at the local church in Scremerston, whilst waiting for my Daughter to come out of class i wandered into there because of the peaceful settings, i noticed this grave not the oldest one, but John Elliot of Unthank was buried in 1849 only seven year after the church was built between 1841/42 Scremerston was a mining village sadly no sign off the mine other than the lay out of the old cottages
