Promises

Don't make promises you can't keep.

I promised fresh bread for Saturday. I foolishly didn't put any caveats in - I didn't say "only if I'm not ill" or "only if Ben hasn't woken up in the night with a fever" or "only if I'm not ordered out of bed before I'm properly awake".

So here it is, being made. Currently prooving on top of a radiator. Fresh bread and hot soup for lunch.

Suppose I could have breakfast while I'm waiting... Coffee, anyone?
