Mr Heron

Today's the day ................... to wait

Took a walk along the River Kent again today, this time a few miles downstream from Kendal. This is a part of the river where you often see the salmon leaping at this time of the year.

No fish today though - which was unfortunate for this heron. He had positioned himself nicely at the edge of one of the pools where the pickings would have been rich indeed.

He was content to wait though, patiently motionless just in case ..........
