The science of weather forecasting
Almost midnight on the cold, dark porch. It just started sleeting and is coming down hard. It must be right around freezing because there it is! I am witness to the first, huge, sloppy snowflakes of this winter. They melt as soon as they hit the warmish windows so I blip, tracing a small, imaginary square with the camera. It's lovely outside. I walk out, stand and smell the squeaky clean air, catch a big flake on my tongue.
They predicted a few flurries overnight but updated their estimate a short while ago. Saying that this is a few flurries is like saying that Luciano Pavarotti could hold a tune or that the Grand Canyon is a hole in the ground. We'll see in the morning.
Mr. M had the wherewithall to turn the electric blanket on hours ago. I'll go join him and shove my cold toes up against his toasty ones.
