The Peaks of Mount Torlesse

Four hot days have made an impression on the snow. Compare with last Sunday. Yesterday's high was 26ºC. The overnight temperature was 20º outside. But a southerly front early in the day changed all that. Those dark clouds descended, a fine mist set in and the temperature dropped to 11º.

The cool change was the opportunity to put in all the plants I've had waiting for the right conditions. This includes the two grafted tomato plants I bought last week. They were a bit battered by the crash, and one was bent double. That one's been in a splint and it looks as though it will be fine.

I very much appreciate the support I have had from so many of you. The accident has had a bigger effect on me than I thought. Judging by the bad dreams I am having the psychological bruises are as colourful as the physical ones. I hope that I can get back to regular commenting soon.
