Breakfast sheep
It's been something of frustrating day on the old blip front.
I got up this morning at 7am, pulled back the curtains and saw the countryside swathed in fairly thick mist.
'Great,' I thought. 'A nice, misty countryside blip today.'
I hurriedly pulled on my clothes and walking boots, grabbed my camera and tripod and was on the canal towpath by 7.15 (I got ready properly when I came back, just in case anyone was wondering!).
I think you probably know what I'm going to say next. By the time I pressed the shutter for the first time, the mist had more or less gone, and all that was left was a pretty grey, uninspiring morning.
I tried to cobble together a colourful birthday balloon shot later as they and the birthday cards were finally removed following my 50th yonks ago, but that was pretty hopeless.
And, to be honest, I had so many other domestic things to do I didn't have the time to venture out a second time.
So you are left with one of the marginally better shots from the towpath - of some very woolly sheep. And it's only marginally better because there are some mildly interesting reflections.
But I know it's a weak effort, and that drives me mad. I can't stand mediocrity.
