Take time to smell the roses, along the way...

Just not these ones, these ones are leather.

Sometimes life just runs away with you, and you forget to look around at the important things in life; the sky on a crisp, clear night; the smell of freshly baked bread, or the feel of a cuddle from a child. All these can get lost beneath the everyday humdrum of life.

Tonight, I played chess with child #2. I didn't realise how good he is getting, because, although I keep an eye on his game, and help him with rules and moves, I don't normally play as I am doing other things. It was nice to slow down and play a game with him...

Now, off to help child #1 and child #3 with bedroom tidying before bed. How much fun will that be!!!!
