Dahab 2010 day 11: Girls day out

Would you believe I have done 175 dives and have never done one without Cyclops? He's done loads without me, but I've only ever dived with him, although often in groups with others.

Well today Cyclops was doing the last day of his tech course, so I set out with our guide Ahmed and three other girls for a day out at Coral Garden and Blue Hole.

Blue Hole is a very famous site, where people come for recreational and technical diving, snorkelling, and free diving. This is because you can go really deep there as well as it being very pretty, and you can just walk straight in off the beach. Easy.

We went pretty shallow as one of our group was only recently qualified, but we could see lots of divers below and as we started our dive we swam through a huge cloud of their bubbles (pictured) which felt really tickly and disorienting. It was cool.
