Incredible engineering

We gave today to my dads 86th and took him to the STEAM museum at Swindon which is well laid out and incredibly humbling; it made think that I must not complain so much about my largely sedentary work in future!

I am happiest in the outdoors but today also reminded me how much I loved economic history at uni, studying the industrial revolution etc, and how I always enjoy the bits of long distance paths that go through industrial sites that many bypass.

Today I walked under a steam train (the only part of the museum not accessible for dad) and my blip is of the engineering underneath - but dont ask me which parts!! Dad thoroughly enjoyed it and he can be seen in Diarmuids adventure
