PERSIMMON IN THE RAIN -- NUDE
I blipped this piece of fruit on 31st October -- in the rain -- when it had glossy, green leaves.
I blipped it again one week later on 7th November -- in the rain -- when it had lush autumn colours. I was going to blip it yesterday, nude, but it wasn't raining. So, here it is, one day late, without any leaves at all -- in the rain.
All three shots were taken from the same upstairs window. I wasn't out there under an umbrella, no fear.
It's a persimmon, sometimes called a cachi or kaki. They are soft, squishy, ultra sweet and are said to be best after a frost. These won't be ripe until December.
