Murder Hill tyre drags
Training for the Yukon Arctic Ultra took a big step forward this week. A few days ago we completed a 25 mile run along the first part of the West HIghland Way carrying approximately 6kg (about a stone) then today we went down to Gullane beach in East Lothian to do the infamous Murder Hill.
Murder Hill is a torturous 20-25 metres of steeply sloping sand dune. A lot of the Scottish pro football teams train here pre-season doing sprints from bottom to top (historically Jock Wallace brought his Rangers team here). We thought we'd add a bit of spice by dragging two tyres up them in sets of three reps (up and down was one rep).
Horrendous fun.
