The Jarvis shudders at the idea of the "country pub", as it tends to mean that there isn't another pub within 15 miles. At least in West Yorkshire you can't throw a stone blindfolded without hitting a pub (though perhaps on the fourth attempt after a car, a bus and a pedestrian get in the way). It is generally advisable to avoid blindfolded Jarvises with stones in their hand.
