Tokyo Tower
BACKBLIP -
So tuesday night we ended up in Absinth Solar, which was a beautiful restaurant where we had a lovely time, when we got in at midnight Doogie pointed out I could start my Japanrail pass the next day, and suggested I go to Tokyo for the day. So after some quick planning I got up at 530am and headed to Tokyo to blitz it in a day.
First stop was the Shibuya Crossing, and the shops. This is the crazy crossing that Tokyo's famous for. Then it was onto the Meji Jungu Temple. I walked between the two places and as it was a Wednesday I was a tad confused about how busy it was. I learnt later that it was a national holiday, Culture Day. At the temple there were loads of ceremony's taking place to do with the holiday, I made a mini film in Tokyo all day as I was there alone and I filmed most of these, to be fair I didn't really know what was going on.
After the temple I headed to Harijuku to Takeshi Dori, which I think is quiet possibly the busiest street I have ever been on in my life!
After this it was late afternoon, so I headed to the electronics district for food and to check out more cameras. After leaving Yodobashi Camera I decided I was getting pretty knackered after only having 5 hours sleep and walking all day. So I changed my plans and headed to the World Trade Centre building, as this was on my way back to the bullet train and as it was starting to get towards sunset I thought I'd end up with some nice pics. I got to the building just in time for some brilliant Blip opps! Here's the results.
After this I headed back to Osaka just in time for Doogie getting out of work, where we then headed to Urizins for an Open Mike night where doogs and his friends blew the roof off of the place their talents! What a bloody excellent day!
