Duxford American Air Museum
I popped up to Duxford with the children at lunchtime. After a quick sandwich we went to the large and rather impressive hanger that is the American Air Museum, dedicated as a memorial to the 30,000 American airmen who died flying from UK airbases during WWII it is an impressive building with an amazing collection of Aircraft inside (including an SR-71 Blackbird and a Phantom, my first Airfix!).
The blip is part of the memorial that stands at either side of the entrance, they have a plane icon for every crew that suffered a loss, there are a huge number......
Thanks for looking
