Me - that cant be right darling!, I would have had a renewal from the DVLA.

Portygirl - (taking the disc out) expires 30th NOV 2007.

DVLA - yes you can do it without the renewal, providing you also have the registration document.

Me - piece of cake.

3 sweaty hours later.

Me - how can I not find my f*****g registration document.

DVLA - no problem sir, but you will have to get down our office in Broomhouse (about 8 miles away through Edinburgh on a Friday) before 17:00hrs, and we are closed at the weekend (of course you are).
