Shadow

A covering of frost, a bright low sun and long long shadows. Crunchy, frozen grass and leaves on Bruntsfield Links and The Meadows this morning, shadows making stripes across the view towards Salisbury Crags and Arthur's Seat. Absolutely gorgeous and made very aware of how beautiful Edinburgh can be on days like this.

Girls on good form, excited by a pal coming round after school for play and tea, good fun with baking and painting. Evening plans pushed further and further back - mixture of Silver Jews and Shackleton on the stereo, with music and photos to be sorted before bedtime !
