Kyoto

Backblip

How ambitious of us, but I believe we just about got Kyoto done in a day, far too many blip opportunities to choose from. We visited what the lonely planet guide described as arguably, the most beautiful street in Asia, called Shinbashi-dori. Then it was onto Chion-In which had the BIGGEST bell in all of Japan. We photographically "licked" it lol

After this it was onward and upward through the tiny streets of Kyoto, passed some magnificent temples and Geisha's too! We then headed to kiyomizu-dera temple which was magnificent, however we got it mixed up with the Golden Pavillion - woops - oh well still beautiful.

From there we hopped a cab and tried our best to get to the bamboo grove, where this shot is from, and then wanted to get onto the Golden Pavillion but it became too late in the day so we headed to the JR where we passed this blip opportunity. This in hindsight was good for our feet as we had to get home to Osaka in time for our night out to GLOBAL KISS- a club night in Umeda!

This is also the first full day I had the new camera the CANON IXY 10s which can only be bought in Japan which makes me happy that its rather unique. Im in love with it, its so much more than a point and shoot and complements the Pentax wonderfully!
