Long View

One of the old farmers in town once told me about keeping pigs.

He said, "Pigs like a long view."

I found out years later that pigs are quite intelligent, comparable to dogs. Then it made sense to me.

If they can stare off into the distance, they can imagine being outside and running off. They can imagine freedom.
