Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Faces of fiona #6

it's tuesday - all day with Fiona. Today we thought for our outing we'd try the Seattle Art Museum because there is a wonderful Picasso show there from the Picasso museum in Paris which is closed for renovations right now. Well, she was pretty interested in all the school groups that were there - not so much with Picasso's portraits. Couldn't take a photo in with the Picassos so we spent more time in the kids room with different toys. Everything like this plastic avocado is still right in the mouth - she had fun and we were happy to sit and watch.. Still only a few steps at a time - thank goodness....
I learned a lot about just two Picasso paintings (one, the portrait of the blue hat - apparently it was Dora Maar and he said when he was kissing her he could only see one eye or half a nose or mouth and that's why the face was so broken up !!) and we will just keep going back for bits and pieces - it's unusual for Seattle to get this caliber of traveling art.
