Roll Over

It has been so hot today that kiwilizzie and I went down to the pool tonight to try and cool off and do a few lengths. When we got there we found a lone kayaker practising his rolls. In order to pass a kayaking course you have to be able to "roll", and the locally operated International Kayak School uses our pool each morning to train their students before they hit the river.

We found out tonight that the locals also use the pool for this purpose on Wednesday nights. Fortunately this local didn't mind sharing the pool with us, and agreed to me photographing his roll technique. Not the best of photos but I didn't like to ask him to do it again, and I do like the way the water pours and bubbles off his head.
