the view west

The wind has been whipping the clouds past overhead all day, but until late this afternoon they had 'only' been a thousand shades of grey. As we got home, younger lad and I, the whole sky suddenly picked up and held the light of the sinking sun. It only lasted a few minutes but with the wind driving everything at such a speed it was impossible to go indoors.
