Work

In all honesty, I could use this as the title for 75% of my photos. I just don't want to bring you down.

This guy looked absolutely exhausted, spent. He's one a of a crew fitting new windows in our offices, and it looks and sounds like bloody hard work.

It got me thinking about our government (it doesn't take much at the moment) and their attitude to work. The messages are a bit mixed up. They relentlessly scapegoat benefit recipients - and then make damn sure that more of us will be out of work than for a generation.

They waffle about hard-working families, yet belittle the graft of some of the hardest-working of all by ringfencing assorted manual labour roles as a means not of providing an honest living, but of punishment for the "work shy" and long-term unemployed.

Eff eff ess.
