The South Wyrrabalong trail

The trail from Crackneck lookout to Forrester's Beach is simply stunning at this time of the year. On one side you look out over the Pacific Ocean and on the other bushland heath spotted with white flannel flowers. Choosing today's blip was a difficult decision. I've got lots of wonderful shots looking down the cliffs at the sea, close-ups of Flannel Flowers, Verbena and one that looks like Coreopsis which is probably a garden escapee. In the end I decided on the photo of the Lizard as J and I have spent so much time trying to identify it. This was the second of the lizards that we saw along the trail, the first I'm fairly sure is an Eastern Blue Tongued lizard, though he didn't put his tongue out to prove it. This one we think is a Jacky Lizard, though we are happy to be corrected if there are fellow `blippers' who are more familiar with Australian Lizards than we are. We walked back along the path accompanied by a chorus of Cycadas - I can still hear them out there now!
