Moorhen

This morning I had intended to post another "Window on the World" shot and indeed I did manage to bag a couple of alternative photos. As I prepared to leave the scene of the crime however, this moorhen came up out of the pond and didn't seem in the least bit perturbed when I pointed my telephoto in her direction. Usually they tend to vanish into the reeds at first sight of a blipper but not this time, so for a change I offer you a birdy picture today. You even get a bit of Irish winter sunshine thrown in for good measure.
