pseudo-summer

I wanted to blip something nice and jolly but I look around me and see dark and drab. So, in my continuing mission to make everything bright and warm I resorted to blipping a carrier bag that looks nice and summery.
This old man comes from the Appenzellerland, which is is close by. It's a place I really love as it's hilly (mountainy!) and remote. A bit like where I come from (the second best place in the world). I love remote places. When we where looking for a house to buy, somewhere in the world I was looking at maps and websites saying "oh look, 5000 acre sheep farm, no roads and no electric, let's buy it!" (usually on the South Island of New Zealand) whereas Mr. Spitzimixi tended to say things like "close to the station and motorway, 30 minutes from Zürich, family close by" Much as I love where we live now, which fulfills his criteria rather than mine, there's still a bit of me that wants to live in the wilds far far away from anything...as long as there's an internet connection....

My compromise was to move to the Engadin in the south east of Switzerland, which is where we go on holiday a lot...but, yeah, I'm better at giving way than certain other people, even though I am known for my stubbornness, I know when to give up.
