Time flies but nothing changes.

3 days ago I blipped a conversation with my brother as he crushed, with great humour, I should add, my pride. Some things never change.....

.....30 years ago I was selected to captain my school's cricket team. It was, at that point in my life, a very proud moment for me. I felt like a man, I had grown up, I was no longer the spotty adolescent who was scared of girls. It was one of those pivotal moments in one's life. And, to top it all, the next day was to be my sixteenth birthday. Life couldn't get better than this....

The next day I got this homemade birthday card from my dad.........

..........sigh.
