Shhhh!

More fundraising today, but not on my part.

Three of our philanthropic young females took it upon on themselves to organise a sponsored silence to raise money for tommorrow's BBC Children in Need charity event. So, from 9am this morning until 4pm this afternoon, the sound of studied silence descended throughout the department, interspersed only by frantic scribbling on notepads between the trio.

And, to be fair, they did fantastically well, especially knowing how loquacious these ladies normally are. There was one slip-up around lunchtime though, which resulted in the hasty manufacturing of this piece of millinery. As a forfeit the very sporting culprit was made to wear this as she headed down to the canteen for some chips and curry sauce.

Hopefully they raised lots of money for charity and I for one would gladly cough up again next week for a repeat of the silence. Actually, I'd be happy to buy a season ticket.

Well done you three, you did brilliantly and you should be well chuffed with yourselves.
