Something smells fishy!
An early morning blip today. After breakfast this morning, to the right of the hotel is a huge meat, fruit and fish market. So I had a little mooch around.
This fish market was by far to most interesting. So many fish I've never even seen before, some massive, some small. Possibly not the best picture to convey this but I'm still a little unsure on the etiquette of taking pictures in public places.
So I came across this guy in one end of the market. Looked friendly enough I thought, so I asked him if I could take a picture. 'Not a problem' he said. Looking at the image when I got back I didn't notice how much he was gripping his knife!
Anyway, it was no bother. He then tried to sell me a massive fish, took me ages to explain to him that I didn't have a kitchen to cook it in or more importantly (especially for those who know me) about my allergy to white fish. I thought that would just be to much to try and explain.
On a positive note, there was loads and loads of prawns which is good as I love them.
On a negative note, it's not the best idea to be wearing flip flops whilst wandering through a Bahrain fish market. I had to stick my feet and flip flops in the bday when I got back to my room. Still, at least I've found a more practical use for it.
