new shopping centre

A couple of weeks ago, this site, just around the corner, was a piece of scratty waste land. Then the bulldozers moved in. It is to be a shopping centre. We live in hope it will contain not only a Zara and a Lidl but also a traditional cafeteria, open all year, not just for summer, a cocktail lounge; a second-hand bookshop and a vintage frock shop. Oh yes, and a small community-based cinema showing independent VO films.
