Lady, you are seriously ruffling my feathers...
It is Friday, so it must be Florida. I went down this morning to see some of my friends on the lakes; no sign of the whistling ducks or the storks, but plenty of activity amongst the other residents. Quite a few tiny baby ducklings, running the gauntlet of Red-shouldered hawks, and, to my surprise, I snapped a Giant Egret carting one off for breakfast. I had no idea they ate baby birds, and discarded the picture for fear of causing offence by this sight of nature in the raw; a bird catching a fish is one thing, but a duckling? Anyway, this Snowy Egret posed prettily in the sunshine, so he is my pick of the day.
