When the leaves fall I guess you then get a view.... of your neighbours. When I wander through the town I wonder what the trees are there for; to soften the view of the buildings or to stop the residents seeing the other buildings. I'm sure some boy in the sixties had one of those models of ideal homes with those little plastic trees in the front. They are planting more so I guess they still think there's not enough. Reminds me of the interactive film that Etherghost posted months back (help me out here M and I'll post the link).
