Rattus
I had a meeting in King's Cross today so, after a chips and beans lunch with friends, I headed off to the Camley Street Nature Reserve to see who was out in the autumn sun. A trio of brown rats caught my eye. One scampered with great skill up a tree, coming face to face with a much larger squirrel. A rodent stand-off. The squirrel won the stare competition. Unfortunately, my photographic evidence of this was rubbish - I was much too awe-struck to focus properly. So, here's a rat on the ground sussing out whether I was a predator or not. It turns out that I'm a predator since he didn't stick around for another shot.
Happy weekend!
