Wee bit of whimsy

Whimsy is was the first word that came to mind when I spotted this in my line up this evening.

Today was a wonderful day. I volunteered in my son's kindergarten classroom this morning to help with the Fall feast. My son was so excited. I was really surprised how much they let the children make the food! It was incredible. We had little stations, and my little helpers were fantastic. In fact, when it was time to rotate, we were already nearly finished!

There was so much food and many families came to enjoy. It was a wonderful experience.

Halfway through the morning, I did develop a migraine that seemed to linger lightly until I ate. The drive home was difficult, as the rain and wind was pelting us. I was sure the top of my head would burst open at any moment and one hundred little swallows would go flying into the sky. Okay, that was a little creepy. Sorry.

Anyways, I called into work and then took two Excedrin and laid on the couch for a nap. I woke a few hours later and peeked outside to capture this.

The rain is really cold right now too, and the higher elevations are getting snow I hear. We live 500 feet above sea level, so snow isn't really in our forecast, but it doesn't mean it doesn't get cold.

I hope to catch up on commenting this weekend. I have knitting plans I'm excited about too.

P.S. Swapped my image out. Liked the straight out of camera better than the edited after all. Though no one will probably notice anyway, but I'd like to remember.
