Breathing space

I've been on a journey through blipland on my computer this afternoon. The geographical reach and variety of the subject matter never cease to amaze me.

From pancakes in Nottingham to beach scenes in Laos, it's all out there. I've really enjoyed other blips from Austria, Finland, Hong Kong and lots, lots more countries.

And the really amazing thing is that all these events took place in the past few hours.

Sorry, as you can see, I've had far too much time to myself today! But it really is a wonderful website.

Anyway, after a fairly difficult week it has been nice to relax.

In fact, I made a decision at the beginning of the day to shut the door on work, shopping and all that stuff.

Instead, it was nice to savour the wonderful aroma of bread rolls fresh from the oven, watch exciting rugby on the telly, finishing reading my book on Andalucia and enjoy mugs of wonderful cappuccino from the espresso machine that we are only able to use at weekends!

....and delight in glistening olives, reflecting the light from the window.

I wish weekends would last forever.
