O for Orsome

Trained with Westpac Rescue Helicopter this morning, winching people off the deck of our lifeboat.

I took this through a perspex hatch in the roof of the wheelhouse, where I and my camera were warm and dry!

Later I went up the wire... it's a fantastic buzz. Thanks to the crew for the opportunity. Oh, they seemed to quite like our boat, too :-)
