At the third stroke....

This sundial is on the front of a perfectly ordinary 1930's bungalow not far from us. The Old Scots saying translate as 'take notice of time or time will go' - I think. It was also taken at 1.25 so quite good time keeper at this time of the year. You've got to wonder where it came from - maybe it's just a wee folly built new when the house went up.

***** My daughter has just told me that there used to be swastika's on the sundial and right enough if you look closely you can see where they used to be at the top and bottom of the face.
