Buy Kiwi

Like many countries around the world New Zealand is also trying to cope with many jobs moving offshore, to countries such as China.

As part of the coalition agreement between the Greens and Labour Government here, a "Buy Kiwi" campaign was agreed to, which in principle is a good idea. Retain innovation and focus on high value, high worth industries and jobs.

Ironically however (in my opinion) they have made the words in the poster out of mechanical parts, the very components which of course are produced much cheaper, and arguably better, in other countries these days.

All that aside, I'd have to say this continues the "Christmas Hell" theme.

BTW, The tree if you are interested is a Pohutukawa (Christmas Tree). I am sure you'll see many blipped this summer ;-)
