GAP window shopping

M tried on quite a few outfits in the GAP today. Uncharacteristically want to dress up.
We didn't buy anything, but how is it that when you go out specifically to buy yourself something, there is nothing you like, but when you go out to do Christmas shopping, all you can see is stuff you want to buy for yourselves?
