Thistle Down

Music in My Soul

There's music in my heart today,
It has sweet strains again.
Wrapped in the rhymes of rhythm,
To touch the souls of men.

There's flutterings all around me,
It tickles in my spine.
There's gestures playing on my ribs,
In a way that whines.

My knees...they knock together,
My stomach has a growl.
There's bubbling underneath the spleen,
That takes in all the bowel.

There's hoarseness in my upper lung,
That rises in my throat.
A little serenade...it plays,
And takes in every note.

O yes...I do have music,
Inside it's there to roll.
There's many, many sounds within,
It's the music of my soul.
